A LITTLE INFO ABOUT OUR CEO

Hello, my name is Stella Ighodaro, I’m the President and founder of this nonprofit organization. I’m also a mother of four wonderful & intelligent young Ladies, and I’m also blessed with two adorable grandchildren. I obtained my bachelor’s degree in social services work from Kentucky State University and a master’s degree in public management from Indiana Wesley University. As far back as I can recall, I have always wanted to help others especially children by establishing my own non-profit company. It was during my experience working with the Kentucky state government as a social service case worker in the adoption unit department, that I was lucky enough to notice the need for an organization that could aid in a foster child’s smooth transition from their foster parents to a permanent safe loving home. With the creation of this non-profit, my longtime dream of many years is born into a reality. I believe in aligning with multiple community members and foster parents to facilitate a better collaborative effort between the government and social service workers. The goal of this organization is to assist foster parents in achieving their goals of permanent adoption for their children. When I first migrated from Nigeria to the United States many years ago to pursue my educational career, I always believed in the popular saying that “It takes a village to raise a child” Back home in Nigeria, I myself was lucky enough to grow up in a wonderful community that assisted my wonderful, loving, and caring parents in raising me. I thank God for my parents, I will forever be grateful to them. From them, my siblings and I learned of the importance of humanity and lending a helping hand to others. As a result, I started this organization to improve the lives of the children who each, when given the appropriate foundation, environment, and resources, have the potential to grow into our future leaders. In 2017, my dream desire to organize the Toaes Foster Parent & Stelly Rental Hall Serves Inc became a reality. With this organization, I hope to assist both foster parents and children in achieving positive, meaningful, and beneficial experiences.
